Marianne Lindow was born in Bensberg, Germany in 1962. She studied VISUAL COMMUNICATION at the International School of Design in Cologne and at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences with Prof. Uwe Loesch. Today, Marianne Lindow lives and works in Cologne.

TEILERBAUSEINANDERSETZUNG, Installation, Quartier am Hafen, Cologne (solo exhibition) PARRHESIA I, Q18, QUARTIER AM HAFEN, Cologne: Parrhesia I ist eine performative Collage – ein rasanter Trip zwischen Redefreiheit und Zensur, Widerstand und Schweigen. Aus Videos, Bildmaterial aus dem Internet, Sounds und Performance lassen die Akteure Bilder von flirrender Spannung und pulsierender Energie entstehen. Sie konfrontieren die Zuschauer mit Mechanismen einer Welt, die allen vertraut und gleichzeitig unfassbar grausam ist. So findet sich in aller Selbstverständlichkeit ein Waffengeschäft zwischen Boutique und Friseursalon und lädt zum Shoppen ein. In zehn Collagen wird um Macht und Ohnmacht, Dominanz und Schwäche, Freiheit und Kontrolle gerungen. In ihrer Eindringlichkeit wandeln sich die Bilder immer wieder ins absurd Groteske oder gar ins harmlos Friedvolle.
